Why we’re offering this
At Lakefront, we believe that inner development and systemic change are inseparable. The Ashoka community has been pioneering this insight for decades — showing that real transformation happens when people lead with empathy, courage, and imagination.
Through this scholarship, we want to honor and support changemakers who carry this spirit — offering a living ecosystem where they can rest, experiment, and reconnect to the deeper source of their work.
This is our way of giving back to those who give so much, and to form a closer collaboration and integration with the Ashoka community.
🌟 Your Changemaker Contribution
As our Changemaker-in-Residence, you’ll help weave Ashoka’s spirit of social innovation and empathy into the living experiment that is Lakefront.
This could look like:
• Hosting learning sessions on social entrepreneurship, systems change, or leadership for good
• Sharing your personal story of transformation and impact
• Prototyping a new idea, initiative, or collaboration with residents
We invite you to contribute in ways that feel authentic and alive to you.
How to apply
Please fill out the application form and share:
• A short introduction to your work and mission
• What draws you to Lakefront at this stage of your journey
• How you imagine contributing — and being nourished — by the community
🌀 Applications close Nov 30th, 2025.
Submissions will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
💧 This scholarship is offered in collaboration with Ashoka Nordic and The Emerge Lakefront Project — two communities united by the belief that a more conscious, compassionate world begins within each of us.
About Emerge Lakefront
A residential community program and institute of inner development for global impact.
100 carefully curated global change-makers and thought-leaders come together based on the idea that in order for humanity to solve the complex challenges of our time, we need a collective and cultural inner shift in how we see ourselves, others, and the planet, as one interconnected system.
We want this place to be a strong, global beacon of hope and inspiration in the emergence of the world our hearts know is possible - a world where we live, create, collaborate and organize from a place of connection and care for each other, and all life on our planet.
