The Scientist in Residence Scholarship invites individuals to join Emerge Lakefront — a global residency for changemakers living and working at the intersection of personal transformation and societal evolution.

🔬 A scientist (natural, social, or behavioral), complexity thinker, or applied researcher

🧠 Working on questions that relate to humanity’s future, systems change, inner development, or regenerative culture

🌍 Longing to live in a purpose-driven community with changemakers, artists, and innovators from around the world

🌀 Curious about integrating scientific rigor with lived experience, spiritual insight, or community practice

What you receive:

• A 6-month residency at Lakefront (housing + community fees) for free

• Access to a thriving, diverse network of residents and collaborators

• Invitations to co-create learning sessions, research dialogues, or field experiments

• Space for deep focus, cross-pollination, and synthesis in nature

We want to invite scientists into the heart of our community to bring critical thinking, systems literacy, and evidence-based perspectives, while recognizing that many researchers and thinkers face barriers to accessing spaces like this.

🧠 Your Scientific Contribution

As our Scientist in Residence, you’ll help shape the intellectual and inquiry-driven dimension of Lakefront. This isn’t about lectures or ivory towers — it’s about bringing your curiosity and clarity into the living, breathing dynamics of a community that’s prototyping the future.

We see this as a co-creative invitation: to share your knowledge generously, to help others connect the dots between lived experience and broader systems, and to spark conversations that expand how we think, feel, and act together.

You’re invited to contribute in ways that feel authentic and meaningful to you.

This could look like:

• Hosting thought-provoking sessions on systems, complexity, or behavioral science

• Translating research into insights that inform how we live and lead

• Curating science-infused explorations, experiments, or field projects

• Supporting residents in applying scientific thinking to their work and ideas

• Or offering something unexpected and catalytic — something only you could bring
